ELTS relies on its 12 society committees for improving communication and education in particular fields and to enhance our organisation’s objectives. View the list below to learn more about the many primary goals, tasks, and related milestones for each Committee.
The ELTS advocacy plan includes increasing collaboration with other professional national societies, engaging groups outside of our core transplant community, and incorporating patient voices into our advocacy efforts.
Our strategic plan prioritizes the following key legislative issues:
• Helping establishment of deceased donor liver transplantation program.
• Providing a collaborative vision of Liver Transplant Registry.
• Continuous work on appropriate metrics in transplant to be used in monitoring all transplantation programs in the country.
• Transplant-specific medications coverage.
• Continuous support of living liver donors.
ELTS will promote the participation of Allied health professionals, who are working in liver transplant programs, in all ELTS activities, and to guide the society in responding to their educational and professional needs.
– ELTS will focus on patient and donor education.
– Society will promote and spread knowledge in the community about liver diseases and screening investigations.
– ELTS will work on living liver donor protection programs.
– ELTS will help in establishment of deceased donor organ transplantation in Egypt.

The Egyptian Liver Transplantation Society is an organization dedicated to advancing the field of liver transplantation and improving patient care by promoting international outreach, research, education, advocacy, organ donation, and service to the community.
ELTS will work on establishment of strong connections with all recognized international societies in the field of transplantation and to make our society an official part of the international societies.
• Establishment of international fellowships in Egypt.
• Development of exchange programs for trainees and faculty.
• Holding an annual congress under umbrella of international societies.
• Work with executive committee to build up liver transplant programs in underserved areas.
-Encourage all interested physicians, allied healthcare professionals to join ELTS membership.

– Supervise membership directory.
-Responsible for media promotions and fundraising from different funding bodies.
-Ensures long term financial support of the society, give advises on management of the Fund for Education and other activities.
Research remains a priority for the ELTS, with a focus on funding research that is innovative and unique.
• ELTS will advocate for a liver transplant-specific study section through the Science, Technology, and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF), Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) and Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
• Building a network of expert centers dedicated to research in the area of liver transplantation.
• Work with experts in the liver transplantation community for development of guidelines and consensus recommendations related to all aspects of liver transplantation.
Pediatrics Committee is composed of experts with relevant backgrounds, skills, and experience in the field of pediatric liver transplantation.
– Responsible for promoting and managing all activities related to pediatric liver transplantation.
– Support educational and research activities related to pediatric liver transplantation
– Responsible for raising standards of clinical care through ensuring the proper usage, application and interpretation of diagnostic modalities related to liver transplantation (pathology and radiology).
– Preparing for ELTS congress sessions and workshops related to Radiology and Pathology

This committee’s mission is to promote the participation of younger members of the liver transplant community in all ELTS activities, and to guide the society in responding to their educational and professional needs.
– Ascertain the educational and professional needs of younger members through informal discussion and the annual member survey, and work with the ELTS leadership to address these needs.
– Recognizes and honors ELTS junior members for their efforts in basic and clinical research
– Support young investigators’ research activities
