Dr. Osama Hegazy  working in national liver institute, which belongs to Menoufia university which is a very specialized tertiary referral center. This center is concerned in the management of patients with gastrointestinal diseases specially hepatopancreatobiliary diseases.

He is working in the surgical department since May 2001 where he has a very good experience in all types of liver, biliary and pancreatic surgeries either open or laparoscopic ones. In 2003, they started the program of living donor liver transplantation in collaboration with Kyoto University team and he became one of the pioneers of liver transplantation in his institutional hospital and some other hospitals in Egypt (participating in more than 550 transplant cases).

In addition, he has many teaching and research activities as well as participation in many different national and international conferences. Also, he attended different training courses mainly in laparoscopic surgey and microsurgical techniques.
